Turning left: movement that generate the change of the orientation of the equipment coordinates system to the left direction relative to forward direction with translation movement (generally along x-axis).

Moving left: Lateral movement to the left direction, which is relative to forward direction of the CHE.

“Left” is the opposite of “Right” while the subject is Working.

Left represents if the machine is turning while it is “Working”

Left is referring to operational definition not about the “NotRalenti” running engine definition.

For example in a classical CHE it is considered moving to left direction if any of these are true (active):

  1. Inputs to the equipment from the operator/system is drive to left direction

  2. Turning to left direction (SC, TT, RS, ECH or similar)

  3. Moving to left direction (STS or similar)

It is not considered turning left

  1. Engine running and vehicle not driving

  2. Vehicle is working but not turning

  3. Any internal element running (moving) or internal parts that need to be running continuously (fans, ventilation etc)
