Status referring to subjects with mobile components when the subject is idling and their components move at the minimum rpm-speed to keep it running without do any output job.

TIC Description

Further Detail

O

Ralenti = Idle speed (or idle) is the rotational speed an engine runs at when the engine is idling, that is when the engine is uncoupled from the drivetrain and the throttle pedal is not depressed.

In combustion engines, idle speed is generally measured in revolutions per minute (rpm) of the crankshaft. At idle speed, the engine generates enough power to run reasonably smoothly and operate its ancillaries (water pumpalternator, and, if equipped, other accessories such as power steering), but usually not enough to perform useful work, such as moving an automobile.

che.powersource.ralenti.status = SPN188

che.powersource.running.speed.rpm = SPN190

che.powersource.ralenti.totaltimer.hour = SPN235

che.powersource.ralenti_and_energy.consumed.liter = SPN236;

Example

M

che.powersource.ralenti.status: TRUE = SPN188; Stationary low idle speed of engine which includes influences due to engine temperature (after power up) and other stationary changes (calibration offsets, sensor failures, etc) is true.

che.powersource.speed.rpm: 500 = SPN190; Actual engine speed which is calculated over a minimum crankshaft angle of 720 degrees divided by the number of cylinders.

che.powersource.ralenti.totaltimer.hour: 150 = SPN235; Accumulated time of operation of the engine while under idle conditions is 150 hours.

che.powersource.ralenti_and_energy.consumed.liter: 10 = SPN236; Accumulated volume of fuel during ralenti (engine idle) is 10 liters for the frame time of the message header.
