TIC Description

Further Detail

O

This KPI refers to the total time a carrier (vessel, truck, train, etc.) spends during drop-off and/or picking-up activities depending on terminal operations. It represents the average time per carrier that the carrier spends within the terminal premises under the control of the terminal itself.

When this KPI is related to trucks, the starting point has been considered the completion of the gate-in (Arrival https://tic40.atlassian.net/wiki/x/14CeOw ) process at the terminal, and the endpoint for time calculation has been considered the completion of the gate-out (Departurehttps://tic40.atlassian.net/wiki/x/14CeOw ) process at the terminal.

When this KPI is related to vessels, the starting point is located at the beginning of the mooring process upon arrival (Arrival Mooring firstline), and the duration will be delimited by the end of the unmooring process during departure (Departure Mooring lastline).

When this KPI is related to rail, the starting point is located at the end of the arrival process upon arrival (Arrival ), and the duration will be delimited by the end of the start of the departure process (Departure).

The arrival process of a truck includes a part that transits inside the terminal before arriving at the transfer point. The Vessel is no longer sailing as far as one line is connected with the berth. And rail is usually considered inside the terminal when arrives to the transfer area.
