Further Detail | O | By Default Throughput is the sum of TEU (=objects) moved by the terminal’s berths (=subject) during 1 year (=period of time). In TIC semantic this expressed as: Throughput is the sum of cargo|#unit#TEU (object) that passes through the terminal|@|berth (this subject is the aggregation of all terminal berths = Terminal Waterside) during 1 year (period). “The throughput at Algeciras is 1M” = Algeciras Terminal Berths TEUS = 1M Other cases to consider: Throughput Terminal Every cargo that pass through the terminal (cargo visit) is counted as 1 unit (box or TEU or ton) to sum. ie examples:
It is possible to use any “unit” included in the move|counter. If is required count any object passing through the subject then “value” should be used.
How to build and define Throughput KPI Building the throughput can be done in many difference ways. Usually it is done counting the tos|@|cargovisit|@|checkout|counter|output|actual|teu/box/value but also similar results (but not the same) can be reach agregating the che|@|cycle|@|move|counter|output|actual|teu/box/value corresponding to the machines that are working in the area (STS, RTGs, SC etc) The first way will only consider the accepted ones by the terminal (checkout) and the 2 way will consider any (even if has not been checkin-checkout). The most common way is to use the checkout and is the one proposed by default.
