Definition

M

Concept (status) that describes the action that is going to perform by the subject (CHE) to execute an order (action type cargo), at the “laden” start location (origin position of the cargo) to pick up the cargo. It starts when the subject (CHE) arrives at the location of the cargo and ends when the cycle starts the laden phase (the cargo is picked). Usually, this action is related to the locking activities (hoist down and spreader locking).

TIC Description

Further Detail

O

The start of Ready To Collect is the end of the Moving To Collect or Queuing To Collect activities and the end is just when the cargo is locked the first time.

Specific cases, from the equipment point of view:

  • STS Load: The Ship-to-shore spreader stays (CHE not driving or trolleying) without cargo (unlocked spreader) at the location where it has to pick up the cargo, which usually is the Transfer Zone area, (Lane for the trucks or transfer zone for SC interchange area). Usually, the CHE performs some activities to pick up the cargo (hoist, small trolley and spreader movements). In case there are different subjects (two trolleys or two orders for the same machine) like for multi-trolley operations the pick location could be the pinning/interchange platform and the transfer zone (it depends on the subject).

  • STS Discharge: The Ship-to-shore spreader stays (CHE not driving or trolleying) without cargo (unlocked spreader) at the location where it has to pick up the cargo, which is usually the vessel bay and row. The CHE performs some activities to pick up the cargo (hoist, small trolley and spreader movements). In case there are different subjects (two trolleys or two orders for the same machine) like for multi-trolley operations the pick location could be the pinning/interchange platform and the transfer zone (it depends on the subject).

  • TT/AGV: The Terminal Tractor or the AGV platform stays (idle or working) without cargo (slot unlocked) within the transfer area, after the Moving To Collect or Queuing To Collect activities. Usually, the TT needs to do the alignment and the idling to facilitate the operation till the container is placed on the platform.

  • RTG/RMG/ARMG/ASC: The Gantry crane ot ASC spreader stays (idle or working) without cargo (unlocked) within the transfer area, wagon position or cargo location, after the Moving To Collect or Queuing To Collect activities. This area is always over the cargo or carrier slots where is the cargo.

  • SC: The Straddle Carrier spreader stays (idle or working) without cargo (unlocked) within the cargo location where has to pick up the cargo.

A message from the TOS with that confirms the job-step status of the terminal truck 01 from the perspective of the order, che and driver:

tos.@.jobinstruction.@.oder.@2343.movingtocollect.status.output.actual.value: FALSE.

tos.@.jobinstruction.@.oder.@2343.queuingtocollect.status.output.actual.value: FALSE

tos.@.jobinstruction.@.oder.@2343.readytocollect.status.output.actual.value: TRUE

tos.@.jobinstruction.@.oder.@2343.movingtodeliver.status.output.actual.value: FALSE

tos.@.jobinstruction.@.oder.@2343.queuingtodeliver.status.output.actual.value: FALSE

tos.@.jobinstruction.@.oder.@2343.readytodeliver.status.output.actual.value: FALSE

tos.@.jobinstruction.@.oder.@2343.che.output.actual.id: TT01

Optionally the information could be duplicate under the “che” subject. If there are many elements in the che array then in the same message then is mandatory to use the array identification after the “id”

Introduction to concept type “job-stepping”:

The concepts type job-stepping describes a status (what does or is the subject) related only to concepts (action) that “moves” cargo. The objective of this type of concept is to define what type of activity is doing the CHE to move the cargo. There are 6 basic subprocesses to perform a move:

  • Moving to Collect

  • Queuing to Collect

  • Ready to Collect

  • Moving to Deliver

  • Queuing to Deliver

  • Ready to Deliver

All the steps are optional and would depend on the order. For one specific order, only one Job-stepping concept can be “true” at the same time.

TT order job stepping for Vessel load - 4 job steps example

TT order job stepping for Vessel discharge- 6 job steps example, geofence available

The https://tic40.atlassian.net/l/cp/S8dYAjXu (instruction to execute a sequence of steps) is the natural subject of the job-stepping, so we will include by default the concepts for each step under “order” but these concepts can be used with other subjects like CHE, user, cargo, etc.
