CargoOperation is the process done by terminal to move the cargo of a carrier visit.

  TIC Description

Further Detail

O

Cargo Operations only includes the move of cargo , the not the move of what is not cargo. The rest of the che activities doesn’t belong to this process but to terminal operations (preparationatarrival or closingatdeparture)

cargooperations is consider “active” if the resources are in place ready to perform the activity (loading, unloading or moving cargo). The “start” will define the first time the process is active and the end the last time. During the terminal operations the process could be inactive because the resources are not in place (ie suspension of operations because high wind).

carriervisit.terminaloperations.cargooperations is a subprocess of TerminalOperations:

  • carriervisit.terminaloperations.preparationatarrival  “start”preparationatarrival “start” event is happens when the first cargo move is completed laden cycle starts (che.cycle.laden.start) by any assigned CHE related to a specific carrier visit closing the preparationatarrival process and starting the cargooperations process.

  • carriervisit.terminaloperationsterminaloperaions.preparationatarrival  “end”“end” event happens when all of the CHE that belongs to the especific CarrierVisit CargoOperations do the last “cargomove” (last che.cycle.move with box value or similar cargo unit higer than 0 of the specific carriervisit) and iniciate the process to get the terminalberthreadyfordeparture allowing the carriervisit departure process take place.event is when the terminal is

Preparation at arrival and closing at departure: Preparation and closing are necessary to execute the terminal operation, therefore they are included within terminal operations. Preparation and closing could be active before/after as they are preparatory/finalizing works. It is a preparatory/finalizing work before/after the terminal operations process start/ends and can be considered “active”. So preparation will always “start” before the terminal operations “start” and the closing will always “end” after terminal operations “end” because are activities that needs to be done before and after the terminal operations.

Considerations per Carrier type:

Vessel
  • last cargo move is completed (che.cycle.end) by all assigned CHE related to a specific carrier visit.

Considerations per Carrier type:

Vessel:

  • carriervisit.terminaloperations.cargooperations.start  event happens when the first laden cycle with cargo ( first container or similar move) starts (cargo locked) by any assigned CHE (STS, MC) related to a specific vessel visit (carriervisit).

  • carriervisit.terminaloperations.cargooperations.end event happens when the last cargo move is completed (che.cycle.end) by all assigned CHE related to a specific carrier visit, usually last cargo move (cargo unlocked) of the last STS or MC working on the related vessel visit (carriervisit).

Truck:

  • carriervisit.terminaloperations.cargooperations.start  is start event happens when the first container move is completed laden cycle with cargo (container or similar) starts (cargo locked che.cycle.laden.start) by an assigned CHE (RTG, SC, RS, ECH) related to a specific vessel truck visit (firstcargomove) closing the preparationatarrival process and starting the cargooperations processcarriervisit).

  • carriervisit.terminaloperations.cargooperations.end  is when

Truck:

  • carriervisit.terminaloperations.cargooperations.start is when the first container event happens when the last cargo move is completed by an assigned CHE (che.cycle.end) by all assigned CHE (RTG, SC, RS, ECH) related to a specific truck visit (firstcargomove) closing the preparationatarrival process and starting the cargooperations process.carriervisit.terminaloperations.cargooperations.end is when carriervisit).

Rail:

  • carriervisit.terminaloperations.cargooperations.start is event happens when the first container move is completed laden cycle with cargo (container or similar) starts (cargo locked che.cycle.laden.start) by an assigned CHE (RTG, SC, RS, ECH) related to a specific rail train visit (firstcargomove) closing the preparationatarrival process and starting the cargooperations process.when carriervisit).

  • carriervisit.terminaloperations.cargooperations.end is when event happens when the last cargo move is completed (che.cycle.end) by all assigned CHE (RTG, SC, RS, ECH) related to the specific train visit (carriervisit).
