“Portgate" is the process by which a carrier (vessel) is using the anchor to maintain an intermediate waiting position on its way to the port (terminal) or after departure from the port (terminal)truck, train) is passing a port gate or pre-gate facility. If no such port gate, it may be the event when the carrier passes the physical boundaries of the port limits.
