TIC Description

Definition

M

Is the "Position Reference Point" coordinates of a subject (CHE, spreader, ground slot, bollard, etc) in reference of "Earth coordinates"

Definition 2nd proposal (MK, Taskforce Position):

Coordinates represent the geographic position of any kind of subject, determined at its subject-specific position reference point, in reference to earth’s geographic coordinate system. They must consist of at least two values (Latitude/Longitude) for explicit and precise representation of the position.

Further Detail

O

To be defined in this section:

  • how are the coordinates measured/expressed? (alingned with ISO 6709)
    Y = latitude; X = longitude; Z = altitude (height in meters [m])
    North (N) & East (E) = positive value
    South (S) & West (w) = negative value
    which coordinate reference system (CRS) is in use?

  • calculation of coordinates for subjects without position sensor:
    e.g. use #location (logical position) deducted from TOS data

  • translation into concept #location

  • discuss concept for #position_reference_point (68. Position Reference Point )

  • OTHER POINTS?
