  1. CHECHE

Cargo handling equipment types are defined already under the CHE task force as for below:

  • STS: Ship-to-Shore Crane
    Also known as : Gantry Crane, Container Crane, Portainer, Quay Crane, Wharf Crane

  • MC: Mobile Crane

They are componets that later a CHE will use to move a cargo.

 

2. System

System is intended as the logic that says the CHE and/or the actor what do with the object. This is normally done by a sw. Examples of systems are:

  • Terminal Operating system

  • Equipment Control System

  • MMS maintanance Management system (CHE related)

  • ERP

  • ROS Remote Operating System

  • GOS

  • OCR

  • Reefer management

  • RTLS

  • Safety system

  • XRay

  • MRS maintance and repair system (container related)

3. Actor

Is the entity (human, animal, robot or any non cargo handling machine) that executes the job instruction with or without a CHE.

  • Equipment driver

  • Remote station operator

  • Mechanics (reefer, maintance mechanics)

  • Clerks (hatch , yard , gate clerks)

  • Robots (like reefer plugging robots) ….?

  • Gate checker

  • Rail safety clerk

  • Deckman

  • System user (planner, dispatcher, control room operators etc)
