Average Moves By default: The average number of cargo (boxes) performed by the terminal for a carrier visit during “Cargo Operations” (between the first cargo move and the last move) discounting the time that corresponds to the “force majure” and carrier not ready to work.

This KPI represents the performance of moving cargo by the terminal for a whole carrier (aggregates all CHEs working on the same carrier) from the terminal point of view and only during the terminal operations (first move, last move).

This KPI does not include the preparation for arrival or preparation for departure, or for how long the vessel is ready to work but not performing. The main reason to use this KPI is because the data points are almost always available through the TOS which is mostly commonly used by all the terminals around the world.

Comment about forcemajeure

Carriervisit is under forcemajeure when affects or delay circumstances the complete and not partial cargo operations.

KPI modifications: If the user of this KPI needs to introduce some changes they must indicate it in the KPI: ie “Carrier Productivity Terminal Operations excluding breakdowns” will be the same definition but on top of it discounting the time while all the CHE are broken down. For this case, we suggest getting the default KPI on top of the particular KPI for comparative reasons with other terminals.

The use of this KPI for a truck visit is not recommended as the time between che|@|cycle|@|start and che|@|cycle|@|start is very limited and usually doesn't represent the actual productivity from the truck point of view.
